- August 9, 2019, Effective September 8, 2019, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is amending the entry requirements for tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) and pepper (Capsicum spp.) seeds imported from all countries into the United States. APHIS is requiring that all shipments of tomato and pepper seed from all countries be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate or a re-export phytosanitary certificate with an additional declaration.
- August 1, 2019, This Federal Order updates the lists the countries that have market access for tomatoes into the United States, if they are able to meet the import requirements of this Federal Order, and also provides a list of the countries infested by tomato leaf miner. Effective August 16, 2019, this Federal Order replaces the Federal Order, DA-2014-33, issued in July 2014.
