Orangelly and Zepplin shine at 2020 Australian Melon Association Field Day - Seminis watermelons and melons perform well at the 2020 AMA Field Day.

Australia
Wednesday, 27 May 2020

It was another event cancelled due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The 2020 Australian Melon Association (AMA) Conference and Field Day was set to take place in sunny Perth, Western Australia from 30 March – 2 April 2020, but notified the industry and attendees of the event’s cancellation just a few short weeks prior to festivities kicking off.

The annual three-day event typically features a number of melon and watermelon technical presentations, in-field demonstrations and variety trials.

However, to ensure the long hours of field work and preparation for this year’s event didn’t go to waste, the AMA partnered with event registered seed companies to develop short variety trial videos that were filmed from the original trial site.

Seminis Regional Business Manager for Western Australia, David Rose talks and walks us through the Seminis trials from the 2020 AMA Field Day in the video below.
