Certis Spain has been recognised for its ‘Leadership in solutions for sustainable agriculture’ in the prestigious Business Excellence Awards organised by the national newspaper, La Razón. The awards are a recognition of the work and innovation of small and medium enterprises and large companies and this year, in the current crisis, the focus was on sustainability, innovation and safety.

Food safety begins with the crops and Certis is seen as the reference company for solutions that respect the environment and provide quality plant protection. They have been working with growers to develop Integrated Crop Management programs combining conventional products and Bio-rational products to produce safe, quality crops to the very high standards expected by European consumers and retailers. In the last year an increased number of Bio-rational products, which are much more respectful of the environment, has appeared in the Certis catalogue and this year the company is to launch a new range of biostimulants, products that protect, improve and stimulate plants. The innovative solutions are targeted to create value and competitive advantage for the growers with particular attention to environmental sustainability, food safety and the safety of the operator and the consumer. This all aligns closely to the objectives of the new ‘European Green Deal’ and ‘From Farm to Fork’ strategies coming from the EU Commission.
