ISTA and the International Society for Seed Science (ISSS) announce a jointly organized series of webinars on fundamental and applied aspects of seeds

ISTA and the International Society for Seed Science (ISSS) are happy to announce a jointly organized series of webinars on fundamental and applied aspects of seeds. This first webinar will be introduced by ISTA President Steve Jones and ISSS President Henk Hilhorst. The webinar will take place on Tuesday, 8 June from 16:00 to 17:30 CEST and the topic for this webinar will be seed storage.
Dr. Christina Walters, Lead Scientist at the National Laboratory for Genetic Resources Preservation at Fort Collins, CO, USA will hold a presentation on Seed Ageing during Dry Storage: a Discreet, Discrete Problem.
Dr. Manuela Nagel, Head of Cryo and Stress Biology at Genebank Department, Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK Gatersleben), Seeland, Germany will hold a presentation on Seed conservation – harnessing seed science for the maintenance of genetic diversity in genebanks.
