Chromatin, Inc., an agriculture technology company, is pleased to announce that nine sorghum growers who planted Chromatin’s Sorghum Partners™ brand products, won at the county, state and national level in the National Sorghum Producers 2013 competition.
Chromatin is bringing breeding and agronomic innovations to sorghum — a high-yielding, nutrient-efficient, and drought tolerant crop that can meet the growing demand for sustainable food, feed and biomass production. Chromatin’s commercial products, along with its growing pipeline, are providing enhanced returns to growers who need high yielding grain and forage products, yet wish to reduce the costs of inputs, including water.
“We want to congratulate Ben Cramer, who won the National championship in the Non-Irrigated, Food Grade category with a yield of 75.4 bushels per acre”, said Mike Battin, Chromatin’s Director of National Sales. “Sorghum has become an increasingly important food for those seeking gluten free, high antioxidant alternatives to other grains. Ben has demonstrated that growers have an exciting option to participate in this rapidly growing market, even when water is very limiting.”

Mr. Cramer will be recognized at the 2014 Commodity Classic meeting, February 27-March 1 in San Antonio, Texas. “Chromatin congratulates Mr. Cramer, along with Lewis Trietsch Farms, which placed first in the Texas State Conventional-till, Non-irrigated category, as well as other growers from S.
