Roelofarendsveen, The Netherlands
April 8, 2014
From June 16th till June 27th Naktuinbouw will organize the Plant Variety Protection Course in Wageningen, the Netherlands.
Deadline for applying for this course is the 18th of April!
Plant Variety Protection Course
The course aims at facilitating the introduction and practical implementation of Plant Breeders' Rights (Plant Variety Protection) in countries where legislation on this matter is being developed, has recently been passed, or who are considering to develop a system.
Practical tools
This will be achieved through presentations, discussions and practical training. Participants will also visit key organisations active in the operation of a plant variety protection system. Characteristic of the approach for this course is the focus on systems thinking, participation and learning, both in content as in facilitation.
Participants will not only be equipped with knowledge and skills. They will also return home with practical tools, action plans and insights in their own role and the conviction
that they can make things work. This course is a great opportunity for participants to share ideas and experiences. They can build networks with colleagues from all over the world working in the field of plant variety protection.
In co-operation with Wageningen UR
The Plant Variety Protection Course is organised by Naktuinbouw in close co-operation with Centre for Development Innovation, Wageningen UR.
Application deadlines
18 April 2014 is the admission deadline for application directly to Centre for Development Innovation, Wageningen UR.
Early application is recommended as some procedures to finalize subscription (f.e. funding, visa) can take some time.
