BreedIT Corp (OTC: BRDT)("BreedIT" or the "Company"), through its Israeli subsidiary, BreedIT Ltd., the exclusive worldwide license holder and distributor of highly sophisticated agro-breeding solutions software for plant breeders and researchers, today is pleased to announce that the Company alongside its partner and cannabis grower, Sheifa Le'Haim, completed the structuring of the Cannabis Breeding Program, the first step in the implementation of its partnership to breed and own unique and hybrid cannabis seeds utilizing its iBreedIT® - the Intelligent Decision Support System (IDSS) for breeders.
BreedIT's Chief Scientist, Prof. Haim Rabinowitch, worked with Dr. Barry Nadel, an experienced cannabis grower and breeder, who is leading the breeding work at Sheifa Le'Haim to determine the best and most efficient breeding strategies. Together, Prof. Rabinowitch and Dr. Nadel built the breeding program, based on the current cannabis lines owned by Sheifa Le'Haim. Dr. Oded Sagee, CEO of BreedIT Israel, reported this milestone to the Company's Board of Directors in a board meeting that took place on April 10th, 2014.
Mr. Hagai Hillman, owner of Sheifa Le'Haim, expressed his excitement, stating that new Cannabis varieties, with specific cannabinoids profile, will be the consistent goal and outcome of project this year and in the coming years.
