Syngenta has opened this year’s application window for The Resistance Fighter Leadership Program. Agricultural advisors interested in joining the elite program can submit applications at www.resistancefighter.com through Sept. 15, 2015.
Agricultural advisors active in the fight against resistance in weeds, diseases, insects or nematodes are encouraged to apply. Strong candidates exhibit robust knowledge of resistance issues and take proactive steps to minimize the effect of resistant weeds, insects, diseases and nematodes in the agricultural landscape.
“The members of The Resistance Fighter Leadership Program are an impressive group,” said David Laird, head of product biology at Syngenta. “They have a wealth of resistance-management knowledge, and Syngenta feels that facilitating chances for them to share this knowledge is important to the industry as a whole.”
The program, now in its seventh year, honors and supports elite agricultural advisors who assist growers managing resistance issues on their operations. It includes members from a wide range of backgrounds, including retail operation managers, county extension agents and agronomy directors. Members receive opportunities to enrich their careers through travel, networking, exposure to industry research and chances to share their own experience.
