Building on the company’s recent expansion in both its product portfolio and sales force, Joe Olesko has been named the regional account manager in western Canada for Verdesian Life Sciences. Olesko’s role begins the initiative to increase Verdesian’s offerings in Canada, due to the potential growth opportunity in the market. As new regulations are implemented, Verdesian is committed to providing solutions to customers.

“Joe’s managerial and technical expertise embodies the high standards Verdesian seeks to meet, and exceed, in the industry,” said Greg Thompson, chief operating officer at Verdesian Life Sciences. “He will be an asset to strengthening relationships within our Canadian distribution channels, as well as identifying and solving our customers’ unique needs.”

Olesko joins the team with more than 14 years of sales, marketing and leadership experience in the agriculture industry, representing brands such as Monsanto, Novozymes BioAg and Innovative Ag Products (IAP). In these roles, Olesko has experience in evaluating new product opportunities, aligning sales objectives with market positions and strategically planning distribution and retail accounts at the field and corporate level.

Olesko is an alumnus of the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Agriculture, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in crop science. Paired with a customer-focused and passionate work ethic, Olesko’s expertise will be key to Verdesian’s success in western Canada.
