International Seed Testing Association seeks Contracted System Auditors

The ISTA Secretariat is seeking System Auditors to perform ISTA audits on a contractual (freelance) basis.
Requirements:
- Experience in quality assurance
- Training in quality management and auditing against relevant ISO standards
- Certification and registration as Quality System Auditor or Lead Auditor with an internationally recognized quality assurance body under an internationally recognized scheme is desirable.
- Experience in conducting external or internal audits of seed testing laboratories
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally in English
- Suitable skills to lead audits in a significant portion of laboratories represented in ISTA
- University degree or equivalent in agriculture or biology or another relevant subject
- Knowledge of ISTA seed sampling and testing
- Experience in operating or working in a seed testing laboratory an advantage
ISTA offers:
- Training in the preparation of ISTA-specific system audits
- Before the first assignment, the auditor candidate accompanies at least one audit team as observer.
- At the first assignment, the auditor candidate performs the audit with close collaboration of two other members of the audit team.
- The audit team will provide feedback to the candidate about their performance and final qualification.
- If approved, the candidate will receive a certificate of the appointment and will start their first independent assignments.
- The contracted System Auditor receives an honorarium per contracted audit. Accommodation and travel costs are covered by ISTA.
