Monsanto and Scott Partridge, Vice President of Global Strategy, will be honored with the Inspiring Innovation Award from the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR). The award recognizes Monsanto’s development and implementation of a unique, business-led dispute management process creating a proactive industry-wide dispute identification and resolution program. The inaugural Inspiring Innovation Award will be presented at a dinner program on Feb. 16, as part of the first day of CPR’s 2016 Annual Meeting in New Orleans.

“Monsanto and Scott have proven to be true innovators who devise new principles of engagement in an industry that is fraught with business-to-business disputes,” said Noah Hanft, President & CEO of CPR. “Further, Scott’s leadership in helping Monsanto to understand the importance of dispute management as a business, and not purely a legal, function embodies CPR’s message that businesses should implement more thoughtful, holistic and corporate-wide approaches to identifying and resolving disputes.”

CPR TO PRESENT INAUGURAL "INSPIRING INNOVATION AWARD" HONORING MONSANTO AND VP OF GLOBAL STRATEGY SCOTT PARTRIDGE

The International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) is pleased to announce that it will honor Monsanto Company and Scott Partridge, the company’s Vice President of Global Strategy, with the Inspiring Innovation Award in recognition of Monsanto’s development and implementation of a unique, business-led dispute management process creating a powerful, proactive industry-wide dispute identification and resolution program.

“Scott embarked on what was an entirely different direction for dispute resolution at Monsanto. He met that challenge impressively—first internally, within the company, and then more broadly within the industry. For these reasons, we are pleased to honor Scott and Monsanto for their vision,” Hanft added.

“I’m grateful that Scott has championed the creation of relationship-based dispute resolution, consciously building a new process that’s based on collaboration, one of Monsanto’s core values,” said Hugh Grant, Monsanto Chairman and CEO.  “This recognition is also a testament to our entire team’s efforts to pursue rational solutions to issues, so we can devote more of our time, resources and energy on putting new tools into the hands of farmers around the world.”

CPR’s 2016 Annual Meeting will be held on Feb. 16-18 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans. Sponsorships opportunities are available. For more information and to register, contact Beth Trent at btrent@cpradr.org.
