AB has two subsidiaries in Germany. All sales and production activities are organized in
Semundo Saatzucht GmbH, while the German research and breeding activities are carried out in the sister company
Saatzucht Hadmersleben GmbH.
Semundo's product range is being concentrated on rapeseed, cereal seed, maize, sunflower and peas. We belong to the market leaders in Germany within winter rape seed as well as winter wheat seed. Research and breeding activities are being focused on products for the northern hemisphere. Our marketing strategy gives priority to the German market as well as other countries in the northern and central Europe. Our head-office is located in Teendorf, about 90 kilometers south of Hamburg. Semundo has about 35 employees and an annual turnover of about 11 Million Euro.
The research and breeding work is being carried out various research stations in Germany. Hadmersleben is our centre for cereal seed, while research and breeding of rape seed and other seed are concentrated to Teendorf and Grund Schwalheim. Research and breeding activities are being
focused on products for the northern hemisphere. We have about 55 permanent employees in our research and breeding activities.
