Part of a seed
association’s mission is to disseminate information to its
members. What are the various kinds of information you provide
to your members, and which media do you use to disseminate it?

We provide our members with
technical and market-related information on seed from all over
the world but more so with that having relevance to this
region. This includes the following:
- Technical reports on new technologies, their use and
implications.
- Country reports of the seed industry.
- Information on cultivar development, seed production,
seed conditioning, quality control and marketing.
- Information on IPRs and other related issues, including
harmonization of phytosanitary regulations for promoting the
seed business in the region.
- Seed import/export statistics for different countries in
the region.
The information is disseminated to APSA members in the
following ways:
- Compiled reports are presented to members at the annual
conference called Asian Seed.
- Reports are mailed to members.
- Through our bi-monthly journal 'Asian Seed & Planting
Material'.
- Through the internet on our website
