IntelliFarms recently started nationwide distribution of our new biologicals products for soybean. The term "biologicals" may be unfamiliar to you. What are biologicals?
Biologicals are naturally-occurring bacteria or fungi in the soil that have positive effects on plant health. Think of them like the natural enzymes in yogurt that offer positive human health benefits.
Biological products improve many plant functions, including:
- Enabling increased nutrient and water uptake through the roots
- Breaking down nutrients or food for the plant
- Creating a defensve zone that blocks harmful pathogens
- Boosting the plant's immune system, which deters insects and pests
Biologicals have PGPRs (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria), which stimulates root growth in the plant and results in increased nutrient uptake, earlier plant development and better ability to handle and recover from drought and pressures from salt and nematodes.
