ASTA's Forage, Turf, & Conservation Seed Conference (FTC) returns to Kansas City on November 17, 2026 for another year of programming in partnership with the Western Seed Association Convention. The meeting gathers attendees in the conservation and grass seed sector to learn about the latest industry news, share the obstacles and the strategies to mitigate them, and explore business opportunities for the seed industry. 

"Conservation seed is no longer a niche - it is a defining growth area for the seed industry, and the Forage, Turf, & Conservation Seed Conference reinforces the depth of that opportunity for ASTA members," said ASTA President & CEO, Andy LaVigne. "From forage and turf to cover crops and conservation seeds, ASTA is actively working to ensure the promotion of better seeds to produce better crops for a better quality of life."

This year, the FTC is set to see several influential figures in agricultural conservation policy, including:

• Richard Fordyce, Under Secretary, Farm Production and Conservation, Department of Agriculture
• Ernest Allen, Director, Seed Regulatory and Testing Division, Department of Agriculture
• William "Brandon" Brown, National Seed Coordinator, Bureau of Land Management
• Rob Myers, Extension Professor/Director, Center for Regenerative Agriculture, University of Missouri
• Keira Franz, Consultant, Franz Strategies
• John Englert, National Plant Materials Program Leader, Department of Agriculture
