Precision Laboratories announces the establishment of a new joint venture, Precision Laboratories, LLC, effective January 1, 2013. Precision Laboratories, LLC combines the resources of Precision Laboratories, Inc. and Lamberti U.S.A., a subsidiary of Lamberti S.p.A.
In the joint venture, Precision Laboratories is now vertically integrated in the production of basic and special surfactants, synthetic and natural polymers, emulsifiers, hydrocolloids, pigment dispersions and numerous other strategic chemical categories for the agricultural and turf markets. The company will emphasize new product development and sustainable innovation for the benefit of its customers and in respect for the environment.
“The joint venture allows us to better serve our customers through expanded research, development and manufacturing capabilities,” said Rick Wohlner, president, Precision Laboratories. “We have gained a basic position in the market that we will leverage to deliver unique products for the turf and agricultural adjuvant, water management, foliar nutrition and seed enhancement markets.”
Lamberti S.p.A. is a 102-year old specialty chemical company with manufacturing and distribution facilities in fifteen countries, including three U.S. locations. Precision Laboratories, LLC will continue to manage from its headquarters in Waukegan, IL with no changes in its field sales territories, personnel, structure or leadership team.
